HOUR TOURS |
We offer two different 2 hour tours. Both will cover all the stops on the one hour tour along with the additional points of interest listed below. WEST POINT CEMETERY AND OLD CADET CHAPEL |
|
The Old Cadet Chapel was built in 1837 and was the primary chapel on post until the New Cadet Chapel was built in 1910. It rests directly adjacent to the West Point Cemetery where many historic figures are buried. This is a fascinating tour which touches on some of the great personalities that have graduated from the Academy throughout the centuries. Moderate walking.

FORT PUTNAM TOUR |
Fort Putnam is a meticulously restored fortification that was a major component of the West Point defenses during the War of Independence. With a commanding hilltop location, Fort Putnam provides panoramic views of the Hudson Highlands, the Hudson River and West Point. A newly renovated interpretative center adds to the experience.
Important note: Tours to Fort Putnam require strenuous walking and climbing of stairs. As a revolutionary war fortification it is not handicapped accessible.
