Your visit to West Point starts
with your tour. If you are coming on you own
bus we provide a step on guide to your bus.
| The West Point Story – 90 minutes - $160 |
This tour is a combined bus and walking tour with our guide on your bus which tells the story of West Point, its role in the Revolution, its famous history along with stories about graduates who shaped our nation. The tour will bring the long grey line to the present as you learn of the cadet experience and West Point’s continuing role in training the leaders of tomorrow. This tour goes around the post with stops at the Main Cadet Chapel, Trophy Point overlooking the Hudson River and the Plain.
You are off the bus for approximately 1 hour. Easy walking.
| History and Tradition, The West Point Cemetery and Old Cadet Chapel
– 2 hours - $200 |
This tour expands on the West Point Story with additional stops at the West Point Cemetery and Old Cadet Chapel. This tour emphasizes the history of West Point through the stories of famous individuals buried at the West Point Cemetery along with chapel which was built in 1837.
You are off the bus for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Moderate walking.
The West Point Experience including the West Point Museum
– 2 hours - $230 |
This tour combines highlights of the West Point Story tour on a 1 hour tour around post combined with a 1 hour visit to the West Point Museum where your guide will take you through two of the six galleries expanding on the wide contribution of both West Point and the US Army to the development of our country.
You are off the bus approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Moderate walking with stairs in the museum.
| The Commanding Heights including Fort Putnam – 2 hours - $200 |
This tour combines the stops of the West Point Story with a visit to Fort Putnam. Fort Putnam is a meticulously restored fortification that was a major component in the West Point battlements during the Revolutionary War. The fort is located on a hill overlooking West Point and offers panoramic views of the Hudson River and West Point.
Your are off the bus approximately 1hour and 20 minutes. Strenuous walking with stairs.
The Long Grey Line, Fort Putnam and West Point Cemetery
– 3 hours - $300 |
This tour combines all points offered in the tours above except for the West Point Museum. You may substitute the West Point Museum for either Fort Putnam or the Cemetery for the same period of time and price.
You are off the bus approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes. Strenuous walking with stairs.
Tours
operate daily except for the Saturdays of Army
home football games, Christmas Day, New Year's
Day, Thanksgiving Day and graduation week, May 18-22, 2010.
West
Point is an active army post and as such tour
times and access to venues within West Point
are subject to change without notice.
- Monday
- Saturday tours can start after 9:15 AM.
- Sunday
tours can start after 11:00 AM
- All
tours must end by 4:30 PM daily.

West
Point is an active military post and as
such requires the following from our group
visitors.
- Everyone over the age of 16 years old
is required to bring government issued
photo ID. Examples: Drivers license
or passport.
- Each
group must send in a manifest sheet completed with the names, dates
of birth, gender and type of ID being
